      Description:
      When you enable the Notes.ini parameter, iNotes_WA_LiveNames=0, all Chat functionality is lost in Domino Web Access (DWA) 6.5.x; there is no Chat button in the user interface. The purpose of this parameter is to disable only online awareness, not also Chat.

      This issue has been reported to Lotus Software Quality Engineering (SPR # DHAR5X72TY). There are no plans to investigate this issue.

      Steps to reproduce issue:

      1. Configure the DWA/Sametime server so that Chat and Online Awareness are working in DWA.
      2. Log in to a DWA account and note that there is a green icon next to your user name and a Chat button on the action bar.
      3. Add the line iNotes_WA_LiveNames=0 to the DWA server's Notes.ini.
      4. Cycle the DWA server.
      5. In your browser, hit the browser's refresh button.

      Note that the online awareness is gone (no green icon) as you would expect, BUT the Chat button is also gone. The way the Help reads, iNotes_WA_LiveNames=0 should ONLY disable online awareness but not ALL chat functionality.

      The help states that to disable ALL Chat functionality (Chat button and awareness), you should use iNotes_WA_Chat=0.

      This NOTES.INI variable has been made obsolete in ND7. Functionality enabled by the Domino Web Access Instant Messaging setting "Online awareness" in the Configuration Settings document of the Domino Directory server.
