        You can (could) also specify this setting in the Domino Web Access tab of the Configuration Settings document in the Domino Directory, under "Other Settings - Compress HTTP response data."
        However, it does not work in 6.5 ! ! !

      Description:
      Beginning with 6.5, Domino Web Access (iNotes Web Access) uses compression (GZIP format) by default to reduce network bandwidth consumption and provide better performance, particularly for users with slow network connections.

      In some cases, it is necessary to turn off GZIP compression.
      A Server Configuration document parameter is available to disable this feature. However, it does not work. How can you disable GZIP compression at the server?

      In order to disable GZIP compression by the Domino server, add the following line to the server's Notes.ini file.

      iNOTES_wa_GZIP_Disable=1

      Valid Values are
      1 = Disable GZip
      0 = Enable GZip

      The faulty setting is found in the Server Configuration document under the Domino Web Access tab. The Other Settings section contains the "Compress HTTP Response Data" field. This field is visible only from the 6.5 or higher Notes Client.
