      Alternative character set (instead of UTF-8) if the original character set is insufficient. If the alternative character set cannot be used, UTF-8 is used.

      The alternative character set applies to all notification messages and the appended Trailer.

      Among others, the following alternative character sets are supported:
      US-ASCII, UTF-7, ISO-8859-1 through ISO-8859-9, windows-1250 through windows-1257, ISO-2022-JP, Shift_JIS, GB2312, Big5, EUC-JP, EUC-KR, EUC-CN, EUC-TW
